{CHARACTER NAME}
Chester Shiloh Felliday
(( I give myself permission to use my own image xD; ))
Position Doctor - psychologist
Disorder Has the curious phenomena of bringing bad luck to those around him, but not to himself. Also has an obsessive compulsive fascination with spirals and ripping things to bits.
Personality Clever and witty, yet completely batshit crazy. Is very much the gentleman....when he's not ripping a body to bits. Though he is clinically insane, his insanity appears to be under his control, using it to his advantage to confuse others.
History Chester used to live a different life. Back in Wonderland, he was a pudgy striped cat with a grin wider than the moon. He was still clever and witty back then, though he was able to do more than just bring bad luck in that form, such as turn invisible and remove his head. Life was just swell for him as his lived his days sleeping and eating and causing mischief. However, after a young girl visited and completely changed Wonderland forever, the world no longer needed someone like him to loiter about and was promptly executed by the new royal family. But Chester didn't simply 'die' - as a cat, he had 8 other lives left. Reborn into a more humanoid body with different abilities, he gave himself the clever name of Chester Shiloh Fellday and escaped Wonderland. Wandering around from world to world, he eventually settled on the land of Fairy Tales and ended up working at Ever After Insane Asylum as a psychologist. Whether or not he is actually doing his job is up to the patient.
Family Parents unknown, siblings unknown.
Origin Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass
Gender Male
Appearance Chester stands at only three and a half feet high and his body is noticeably disproportionate. Though his legs are tiny, they are surprisingly springy and powerful enough to launch him into the air. He always looks like he is tired as his eyes droop and has dark rings under them. He does not have fur in any place other than in his ears nor does he have a tail in this form, though he still retains stripe-like patterns on his skin like a tattoo, though only on his arms, thighs, and back (cannot be seen since his clothes cover them up). His smile can literally go from ear to ear, revealing many sharp teeth. He has a second row of smaller teeth behind the main ones and his tongue is rougher than sandpaper, much like sharkskin. His closet consists of purple and lavender suits and tailcoats, most with spirals at the end of the tails to suit his obsession with spirals. Speaking of, his eyebrows and sideburns have spirals.
Likes Questions, riddles, spirals, formal wear, the color purple, ripping things, mice (as toys and food), taking very long walks at night under the light of the moon (can go several hundred miles in a few hours via jumping)
Dislikes Answers, canines, blond girls, being tied down to authority, cutesy things
Roleplay Sample
The moon slipped out into view from behind her cloudy veil as a lone shadow danced across steep rooftops to greet her. The small, springy figure stood atop the highest steeple, precariously balanced on the thin tip, and looked down as the moon illuminated the dark buildings below. How long has he been at Ever After? Chester gazed at the familiar structures that all looked the same, but served a variety of very different functions.
A rather cubical building caught his glowing red eyes. It looked just like the other buildings surrounding it, save for a single window with the lights on. Ah, something must be going on, he thought. The feline grinned widely, revealing rows of sharp teeth that glistened in the moonlight. With a single leap into the air, he bounced off toward the lit room on the far side of the asylum.
It wasn't long before Chester was sitting on the windowsill, peering into the lit room. The window was suspiciously open, yet he had not noticed the scent of anyone outside of the building. Curious as to what could be going on, he stepped inside and inspected the austere room. Simple, cold, yet hospitable for a patient. The bed in the corner of the room was normally used to strap feisty patients down during a routine check-up. Judging by the empty food platter and dirty sheets in a corner of the room, it was currently being occupied by a patient.
But where was the patient?
Chester's ears caught the faint sound of scurrying and quickly pounced off toward the source. It was beyond the door and in the hall, though how the patient could have escaped through a heavily bolted door perplexed him. Nevertheless, he tried opening the door. To his surprise, it was unlocked - all 100 of the locks, bolts, and chains were open. He grew increasingly suspicious as he tiptoed the halls. A couple hushed voices caught his attention. Swiftly yet still casually, he rounded the corner to confront the source of the voices.
"My my, why must there be so much noise when everyone should be sleeping? I myself was asleep in my chamber when I heard all the ruckus you two were causing all the way here..."
Chester was interrupted by the hoarse voice of one of the figures. "Dr. Felliday! What are you doing here? Never mind, since you're here, you could help with a little problem..."
The feline blinked a couple times, recognizing the figure as one of the older nurses in the asylum. Beside her was a small child, probably the patient of the room he was just in. He opened his mouth to reply, but the scurrying noise distracted him. In an instant, he had pounced under a table, emerging from the other end with something in his mouth.
"Ah! Well done doctor! You've caught the mouse, thank the heavens!" The old nurse smiled brightly. "It's been inhabiting the patient's room, bothering the poor thing at night. So glad you caught it." She moved toward him and places her hands on his shoulders. "Now that the problem is solved, I beg of you to leave the building at once. You know this area is off limits to everyone but the nurses at night."
The next thing he knew, Chester was back outside atop the highest steeple, the mouse he had caught still in his mouth. The light in the far building was no longer on and the moon had hidden herself behind the clouds once more. There was nothing but darkness, the only noise coming from the mouse that was barely alive at this point. Chester sighed as he began to toy with his catch, tossing and spinning it playfully.
By the time the moon once again revealed herself, Chester was grinning widely, revealing rows of sharp, bloodstained teeth.
Other Info Because of his dislike of authority, he is often getting in trouble with the higher-ups, though because his mere presence is enough to conjure lightning on a scorching hot day in the Sahara Desert, they choose not to mess with him too much. He does not dress like a doctor does, preferring to dress in his suits to make patients feel like they are not with a doctor. His massive claws still bring fear to others though.
