General Rules::Apply to Everyone
I. Please keep all posts to 100+ words. It isn't a difficult standard to meet, and it's generally enough to be able to reply to.
II. When posting, try to keep the mood of the roleplay in mind. If the thread you're posting in has a depressed mood, do not post with your character being happy-go-lucky (unless it is in their nature).
III. Generally, the plot could be called 'Fairy tale asylum'. However, I will occasionally start up a site-wide plot. When this happens, you may or may not choose to participate. Participants who play a major part in the plot will get some sort of reward, and if it is a plot that you can 'win' (AKA: buried treasure or something), then the winning character will get a reward.
IV. You may not win a reward two plots in a row to make it fair for other people.
V. Please use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. If you are unsure of something, there are plenty of guides online that you can look up for help, or you could contact me if it isn't important - unless I'm on AIM, then I'm reachable.
VI. Please use common sense. Control YOUR character, not someone else's. If you control two characters, this still applies. This makes the roleplay look neater - just type a reaction in the post of your 'recieving' character.
I.E:
Character 1: I attempt to punch Character 2.
Character 2: I get hit.
VII. Please make an account in the name of the character you create.
VIII. If you refer a new member, you get a point. The one with the most points at the end of the month wins 'Referrer of the Month'.
IX. You can nominate member and staff of the month on the Nomination page.
X. Ever After is not only for fairy tales! Nursery rhymes are welcome as well.
Patient Rules::For Patients, Obviously
I. All patients are to be monitored at all times by at least one adept nurse.
II. Any patient found out of bounds, with or without a nurse, with no excuse will be sent to the penalty block for a sentence of up to two weeks depending on the area.
III. Patients who attack doctors, nurses, or other patients are sent to the penalty block for a sentence to be defined by the severity of the attack.
IV. When a patient is committed, some personal items may be confiscated. These items may be rewarded to the patient for good behavior, but all items will be returned upon release.
V. Patients ARE NOT allowed anything considered as weaponry. This includes:
Sharp or blunt objects
Objects harder than a soft plastic
Aerosols
Gels and some liquids
Noxious smelling items
Items with points or sharp corners
Any length of chain and ropes that cannot be cut easily.
Wire
Poisonous animals of any size, shape, or genus.
VI. We (doctors and staff) reserve the right to: Force feed, take extensive therapy measures, restrain, restrict, control, manipulate, or in extreme cases, lobotomize any patient we see fit to require it.
Doctor Rules::For Staff
I. Doctors may not have relationships with patients. If a doctor is caught in a romantic or compromising position with a patient and it is NOT part of therapy, that doctor will face a penalty.
II. To register something as part of therapy, a doctor must talk with the President.
III. Doctors must be armed at all times with one (1) cutting tool and one (1) 9mm standard issue handgun.
IV. Doctors interacting with hostile patients will be accompanied by one or more bodyguards for the doctor's own safety.
V. Doctors may use sedatives or restraints without permission. Any other medical aid (shock collars, extensive therapy, etc) must be approved by the President or by the head doctor of your division.
VI. It is the head doctor's responsibility to be sure that all doctors and nurses are following code. If a doctor or nurse is found to be breaking a code and the head doctor had NOT reported it before hand, the head doctor will be faced with a penalty that may or may not be followed through with by order of the President.
VII. It is up to the head doctor to assign schedules to doctors and nurses preforming under his area.
VIII. Any doctor or nurse with a concern about the head doctor's management may report to the President at any time and an investigation may be launched. No penalties will be given for realistically given false claims - however, if one were to claim the head doctor of, say, giving poisoned apples to Snow White, it may be warrant a penalty.
These rules may change at any time.
